Depy Zepo is a new approach to Creative Production, prioritizing intuition in the making of objects and experiences

I come from a long line of Greek islander blacksmiths who worked with earth and by the sea. Depy Zepo is my tender experiment to test the boundaries of creating as an experience and to build community. I am always looking to dive deeper into my learning about different materials and applications, and am available for/interested in skill sharing when it comes to clay, metals, glass and textile design, let’s talk

Currently my favorite song to karaoke is the Cupid Shuffle.

the Work

Lately my work has centered around creating Hellenic-inspired ceramic and glass serve ware, alongside eye catching, energetically charged wall decor for creative spaces. Each piece is handmade and uniquely handled, no two objects will look or feel exactly the same. I’m largely motivated by my intuition telling me to connect to my roots and get creative.

the Studio

Much of my work is done from my brand new Depy Zepo HQ studio in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. I have a BFA in Fibers from SCAD, I work primarily with clay, glass, botanicals, wood, installations and accessories. I am indebted to Pamela Wiley for my ability to successfully synthesize ideas into production, and Aron Fischer for his limitless knowledge and willingness to share ideas and methodologies.

the Opportunities Abound

I’m an event producer, commercial installation designer, wedding coordinator, florist, administrative director, and I’ve been freelancing for a cute minute. I’ve been meeting some incredible folks along the way and am excited for what the universe has in store. If you find yourself wanting to chat with a maker who gets it, or have an idea for an event but not sure where to start, drop me a line at

My grandmother Despina Dardaganis Perakis was born in 1928 in Lemnos, a small island at the top of the Aegean. She was a hell raising beam of extraordinary light and my namesake. She loved fiercely and taught me to fight. Depy Zepo are two nick names for two Despinas, she and me, her and I.
